The Coffee that Stole my Heart

Sometimes, you want a good cup of tea.
Sometimes, you want some great, dark, bold coffee.
And sometimes, you want something more.

This is why I made Cafe Mocha.
And Pumpkin Spice Latte.

This is why I made this:

Gingerbread Latte

After trying Starbucks’ Gingerbread latte (so good), I knew I had to make my own healthier (and more budget-friendly) version! And it is delicious!

Print recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup hot milk (non-dairy option: I suggest almond milk since it it creamier)
  • 2 shots espresso, or 1/2 cup very strong coffee
  • 2 tbsp unrefined cane sugar
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Directions: Put all ingredients except nutmeg in a bowl and mix with an immersion blender (makes it foamy) or a whisk. Pour in a cup and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Serves 1.

I made my first one with more ginger and it was way too spicy! If you like your flavored lattes very sweet, add one more tbsp sugar.

Ginger Infused Green Tea Soup… In 15 minutes!
Stove Top Oatmeal & More

Charlie, I'm definitely a tea drinker–drink it several times a day–but this looks like a coffee drink I could enjoy for my occasional cup of coffee. Yum!
