When Doing Something Bad

Greetings!

Today was mostly a rest day. I went to the bank to pay bills and then had lunch. When you don’t want to cook lunch, you don’t have to eat takeout; you can have THIS:

1/2 english cucumber, 2 carrots, 3 radishes, 4 cherry tomatoes and 5 grape tomatoes along with 2 rye crisp breads and 2 tbsp roasted pepper hummus.
I actually didn’t eat it all because I was full!

I really love Ryvita‘s whole grain rye crispbread. These were the Pumpkin Seeds & Oats kind:

They really go with anything and are also good by themselves.
Ingredients:Whole grain rye flour (73%), Pumpkin seeds (15%), Whole grain oats (11%), Salt
First step if you want to know if a product is good for you: understanding all the ingredients!

Then Diran came to see me and we did the dishes together (what a great activity). We went to dinner at St-Hubert Bar-B-Q, a rotisserie. This is the only restaurant I go where it can be impossible for a vegetarian to eat well. They do have without chicken salads but they certainly can’t keep you full. So, when I go (not often), I have a BAD meal. Good to the taste but bad for me, of course. Some people have cheat days, I have cheat restaurants ;).

The “Bad” Meal

I had appetizers combination platter: onion rings, rippled potatoes and cheese sticks.
Along with a strawberry daiquiri. It is kinda sad I forgot my camera at home: the strawberry daiquiri was gorgeous. I actually took it because other clients near us were having them and they looked yummy! It was my first daiquiri and I have to say, lychee martini is still my favorite

I think that women really take themselves down too much over food: if you love cheese sticks and daiquiris, you should have some. Just don’t make them an everyday treat!
Also, when you know in advance that you will eat a “bad” meal, make the other too really good for you!

I didn’t know in advance today but it is still a good example:
Oats for breakfast, veggies and hummus at lunch. Then having a bad meal has less impact on you and you still got some great nutrients in your day!

I also personally know that I would not eat like this everyday because I do notice that I have less energy when doing so.

Anyways, Diran is playing poker with his friends so I have the whole evening to myself!
Good night,
