I was at work from 10am to 4pm. I work at a grocery store and I bought a lentil salad for lunch (I ate half and kept half for tomorrow). After work, Diran came to meet me and we went on Sainte-Catherine Street, which is a pedestrian area through the gay village all summer.
This area is the best place to go eat on a terrasse because restaurants can use the sidewalk! I used to live close to the gay village and ate there every week during summer!
We had dinner at La Piazzetta, a nice Italian-style restaurant. We shared bruschettas as an appetizer.
Then I had an awesome thin-crust pizza. I actually never really loved regular-crust and theirs can’t be thinner than that:
This is a tomato sauce, goat cheese, mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and fresh chives pizza. Put goat cheese on something and you can be sure I will eat it!
We then went at Starbucks Coffee for dessert and I had a small iced americano along with a piece of carrot cake.
Then we were on our way back and saw this:
Is there any place beside the gay village where a store would make publicity by having a male mannequin trying to untie himself?
I didn’t think so…
We then went back to my boyfriend’s house, passing by blockbuster to rent Food Inc. Caitlin at Healthy Tipping Point mentioned that anyone who hasn’t seen this documentary should consider doing so, and I totally agree.
Warning: shivers, disgust and even tears can result from seeing this film.
I read about most of the things that were explained in the film but it really isn’t the same thing when you see it. People are actually paid for killing chicks all day! (This would be the shivers)
Anyway, I am working again tomorrow morning!
Good night,
