Baking for The Cause

There is no secret here: I love being in the kitchen.
Cooking, baking… and eating ;-).
But what I love the most is sharing it with others. I often cook for myself and when I get to cook for someone else, it is so much better. Having a blog makes it possible for me to share the recipes I love with others (and it is no secret: I love blogging).

And now I have the chance to bake for one of you.
And to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I think all causes are important. Unfortunately, it is impossible to help all of them. But little gestures add up to something amazing. And baking for a great cause is definitely a gesture I can do :-).

When I heard of Steph’s Bite by Bite Bake Sale, I knew I wanted to participate. The fact that it is for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society only confirmed my choice since my 3 year old nephew died of leukemia.

The Bake Sale will occur on Monday, January 31, 7am – 9pm. You have to bid for the baked good you want and the highest bidder wins (obviously).

There are a lot of yummy treats you can get.
Including my delicious (yes, delicious), Vegan Dark Chocolate and Pear Cookies.

The winner can choose the percentage of cacao in the chocolate: 70, 85, 90 or 99.

I chose these cookies for 2 reasons:

  1. Yumminess factor.
  2. They stay moist and delicious long enough for me to send them and you to eat them.

Check out Steph’s Bite by Bite blog for the rules and logistics of the bake sale!
